What is a Passkey and Why do I need one?

Passkeys provide a more streamlined and secure method of authentication. The move to Passkeys is part of the UA Systems security for accounts and computer systems.

To help protect the security of University of Arkansas System accounts and systems, all employee users of the University of Arkansas System will be moving to Passkey authentication for Microsoft 365 using Microsoft Authenticator. This initiative is part of our ongoing effort to improve security while making the sign-in experience faster and easier for everyone. Students are enabled for MFA and are encouraged to use Passkey for login.
